That's husky speak. Nanook finally howled last night. Distressingly, he was singing the blues, unhappy and unwiling to get in the crate to get out of the rain. Dummy. But not totally stupid, as he played me by crying til I couldn't take it anymore. I got up and put him in the truck. In the process of getting him out of the run, his collar came off and he beelined for the partially open gate. I freaked. But he didn't figure out that he could squeeze through before I grabbed him. He didn't like being grabbed by his fur, and I can't say I blame him. But despite crying and gnawing on my hand, he didn't actually bite me. I would have bit me.

My dog is amazing, no longer a defective husky and is *so* getting a roof on his kennel.

Good dogs deserve treats. And sounds like he was very good indeed!
(Huskies and malamutes and those sort are clever dogs, they're supposed to be somewhat manipulative. You've read the Susan Conant books, yes?)
