On John's whim, we ended up at the Zen Lounge tonight for the Nerdcore show. What a fun experience! Consider me a sudden and total convert to MC Frontalot fandom.
Hooooo-rah!! I can heartily recommend Nerdcore Rising as your second CD purchase... lots of great songs (many of which he played tonight) and a little more accessible than the next one, Secrets From the Future, IMHO.
I really like him. It's the perfect mix of hip hop and musicianship.
We both liked her, and we both can't remember her name. He'll look it up on the boards tomorrow, he's certain it'll be there. They called their side project "Fresh Fish" or something like that. We'll let you know if we find anything out. :)
I liked her voice and style. I think she's local, too.
