Nov. 6th, 2008 06:27 pmIt looks like Nanook has that ailment. You know, the one everyone has: getting older. We'll know more tomorrow when the blood tests come back. The vet suspects elbow dysplasia and/or arthritis for the bum foreleg, but he has also gained 10 pounds after having been a rock solid 64 lbs his whole adult life. So we're checking for diabetes, Cushing's disease and thyroid imbalance as well as whatever else is on the Senior Wellness Test. *gulp* Senior He's not even 7 yet.
Until we know more, Nanook is to be kept quiet and resting; no walks, no roughhousing, no fun. Poor guy.
Me? I'm just a big wuss where he is concerned. This is an emotional and financial stress I really don't want, but it's part of the deal, so I will afford it. He's my baby.
